Undefeateds Collide as AF1 Heads Into Week 4

Arena Football One enters Week 4 with four games this weekend. Note: Statistics cited are through three weeks and do not include numbers from the Week 3 Minnesota at Michigan game, which were not reflected in league totals as of noon Tuesday.


Saturday

The Albany Firebirds (3-0) visit the Washington Wolfpack (0-2) at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington (6 p.m. EDT).

Albany’s offense is led by quarterback Joshua Kulka, who has a league-high 13 touchdown passes with 440 yards. Defensively, linebacker Drew Singleton leads AF1 with 18 tackles and is tied for the league lead with two interceptions.

Washington has yet to place a player among the league’s statistical leaders through three weeks.

The Oregon Lightning (1-1) travel to face the Michigan Arsenal (0-3) at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw, Michigan (7 p.m. EDT).

Michigan is anchored by quarterback Malik Henry, who ranks second in passing yards (529) and leads the league in passing yards per game (264.5) and total offensive yards per game (265.5). Wide receiver Jairus Grissom leads the league in receiving yards per game (104.5).

Oregon’s top statistical contributor is linebacker Jaylin Vaughan, who leads the league in rushing yards per game (43.0).


Sunday

The Nashville Kats (2-0) face the Kentucky Barrels (2-0) at Truist Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky (3 p.m. EDT).

Nashville is led by quarterback Tyler Kukla (10 passing TD’s), fullback Austin Collier (four touchdowns) and defensive lineman Jaquan Artis (league-high five sacks).

Kentucky’s offense features wide receiver Darius Prince, who has five touchdown receptions and leads AF1 in scoring average at 15.0 points per game.

The Minnesota Monsters (1-1) visit the Oceanside Bombers (1-2) at Frontwave Arena (8 p.m. EDT).

Oceanside enters with the league’s most productive offensive players. Quarterback Rudy Johnson leads AF1 with 573 passing yards and 660 total offensive yards while adding 10 touchdown passes and five rushing touchdowns. Wide receiver Jaylon Tucker leads the league with seven touchdown receptions and 42 points.

Minnesota is led by defensive end Claude Davis and quarterback Ja’Vonte Johnson.
