In addition to contributing to our weekly consensus, I like to provide a brief rationale of why I voted the way that I did.
- Nashville Kats – (10-1) ↔
- The clear-cut #1. Most points scored, fewest points allowed, a miracle play away from being undefeated, and the best kicker in the game. Dude should be in the NFL. … Seriously. If you go try out before Saturday’s game in Albany, I’ll pay for your travel & hotel. … What? Read the title. I’m ALLOWED to be subjective.*

- Albany Firebirds – (9-2) ↔
- Remarkably good team that’s remarkably inconsistent. Gave a bunch of 1st teamers the week off in preparation for the Game of the Year.

- Minnesota Monsters – (6-4) ↔
- Great game but was against an emergency squad.

- Michigan Arsenal – (5-6) ↔
- Hottest team in the league right now. Notice that I said “hottest,” not “best.”

- Kentucky Barrels – (7-4) ↔
- Glad that coach is OK. Roster “shake-up” (to put it mildly) doesn’t bode well for the upcoming playoffs.

- Definitely hit that “plateau” that I mentioned a few weeks back and since then seems to have fallen off a cliff.

- Beaumont Renegades – (3-7) ↔
- STILL mathematically alive for a playoff spot somehow, but needs help to get in even if they win out.

- Oceanside Bombers – (1-9) ↔
- Officially eliminated. A scrappy bunch but couldn’t piece it together to get the W’s. Fun fact: their QB is in the top 5 in passing yards per game and they have the #1 wide receiver (based on receiving yards per game).
- Oregon Lightning – (1-8)
- Deserves a shout-out because their commitment to the community appears to still be strong despite having to wrap up their season earlier than expected.
