The AF1 Fan Zone Weekly Power Rankings are out, and if you’ve been waiting to argue about something, this is your moment.
Here’s the deal: these rankings aren’t coming from just one voice. They’re an average of ballots from Scott Birk, Howie Hanson, Zach Keilman, and Joshua Cox. Four different viewpoints, one list. As you can see, there were some differences getting there.
| Rank | Team | Scott | Howie | Zach | Josh | Avg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Albany Firebirds | 2 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1.3 |
| 2 | Nashville Kats | 1 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 2.0 |
| 3 | Kentucky Barrels | 3 | 5 | 3 | 2 | 3.3 |
| 4 | Washington Wolfpack | 5 | 3 | 5 | 6 | 4.8 |
| 5 | Minnesota Monsters | 7 | 6 | 4 | 5 | 5.5 |
| 6 | Michigan Arsenal | 4 | 4 | 7 | 8 | 5.8 |
| 7 | Beaumont Renegades | 6 | 7 | 8 | 4 | 6.3 |
| 8 | Oregon Lightning | 8 | 8 | 6 | 7 | 7.3 |
| 9 | Oceanside Bombers | 9 | 9 | 9 | 9 | 9.0 |
At the top, you’ve got teams that look the part on paper. At the bottom, teams with something to prove. And in the middle? That’s where things get really interesting, because that’s where opinions started to split.
It’s preseason, so we’re projecting. Rosters, moves, expectations, it all factors in. But we all know how this works… some of these teams are going to rise, some are going to fall, and at least one of these rankings is going to look ridiculous in a couple weeks.
So where did we get it right? Where did we miss?
